Plastic Fantastic

The fun part of this layout for me is the boot, because that's what ultimately freed the melted plastic cutting board from the oven rack. How I didn't see that the board had stuck to the roasting pan when I replaced the pan in the over is beyond me. Still, all's well that ends well.

This is a template layout that takes advantage of a lot of the transfers/overlays in the Artplay Palette in the collection. I started with the photos and journaling, then added the title and all the background layers. The boot, on overlay blend mode, was the last touch. I also used assorted Fotoglos from my stash for light.

I am chuckling all over the place. I"ve got a special place in my heart for incidents just like this. Great adaptation to the collection. It all started with the boot....

Oh what a story! That's something I would do. This morning I put my sheets in the dryer instead of the washer. But what a disaster! Great storytelling - LOVE the use of the boot!

Oh, this is hilarious! We've just had a whole month like that. We have fixed the A/C (replaced circuit board and thermostat), water distiller $14 part failed and flooded the garage, washing machine (replaced the pump), water pressure problems (cleaned filter and reset). All fixed by last Sunday, then Monday morning the sewer line clogged and backed up. Too bad I don't have any cool pics to scrap. Great use of the palette and template.

Thanks and isn't that the way of it? Right before the cutting board incident, we had the electrician in, the HVAC guy in, and the plumber is booked for later this month. I think there's also something wrong with the chimney...hoping it's just an out-of-sync flue....

Oh wow! Luckily Ron is pretty handy and I'm "better help than any man" he says. So we probably saved ourselves several thousand dollars. But yes, that little black cloud hangs around once it arrives.

I would never have thought of using a boot to remove the plastic. But you have to be inventive in incidents like this, don't you?
But the main thing is that it worked.
Very funny story of an unusual household accident and wonderfully visualised.
