Started with 1 photo (on left) and chose a Palette (Salute). Artsy Paper 5 had the perfect lines/spaces for my photo, placed with MM Salute #3.
Added 2 more photos, the perfect number to use the Salute Artsy Layered Template.
Wanted to use at least 2 more photos. On the left I blended the photo of Oz in Overlay Mode, using a mask and blending brushes...I like the way the flag extends over to the right.
On the right I placed the photo of our Memorial Day dessert (giant chocolate chip coolie iced with cream cheese and covered with fruit), first clipped to the Polaroid mask, then placed over MM Salute 1 to add some circles. To repeat circles on the other side, I added the title ("O" in Better Saturday, copy in white with drop shadow, "SAY" from Time wordart mix.
Salute Transfers added to the right for more color.
I needed something on the lower left. I used my "amber waves of grain" (really beach grass) photo, blended with Thin Strip Masks in Lighten mode, then added MM Branches to give me another organic shape (heart) and some repeated splatters and threadz.
BTW I am using my Blueprint Notes to guide my design and help my brain to remember ;-)
Your pages are so festive! It looks like Oz had a blast. I love the beach grass version of amber waves of grain and the cluster. The large version of Oz in the blended photo is great.

So stinkin' cute. He just looks like the perfect angel in your photo shoots. So fun and enjoyable to read and see.

the joy and enthusiasm really jumps out of this double page.
You have captured the mood wonderfully with the bright red colour.
My favourite photo is Oz on the left in this particular frame. He is well prepared for the 4th of July.

Yes he is! And all it took was $2.50 (the prices at the Dollar store are now $1.25), some creativity and lots of love :)

Thanks! He's not quite the angel his mom was, but such a bright and creative little boy! "Boy" being the operative word ;-)
