Great take on the challenge! I love the unexpected theme. To answer your question, the Gallery Guidelines which can be found HERE say: "Layout size should be 600x600 and 250 kb OR 800x800 under 200kb". Please note, layouts don't have to be square-they can be any shape, as long as they stay under the size limits.
