Is there anything more delicious than the smell of fresh bread?
I have started baking bread myself. First I bought a good baking book, investe a little time and end up with a wonderful aroma in the house, an incomparable product for breakfast or lunch and a welcome gift for neighbours and friends.

Love the smell of fresh baked bread. During COVID I had a sourdough starter going. Every couple of days I'd make bread. Now I just go to the store and buy a fresh loaf. Wonderful warm colors and page.

That is so true, the smell of fresh baked bread is so nice. I really love how you captured that smell and the feeling that smell gives you in this page. The colors are perfect and your page is so creative, I give you a Standing O!

Congrats on the SO! Love the graffiti look and the simple clip and rope elements.

Beautiful page! I really love the large text down the side of the page and the colors you've chosen really make me feel as if I can actually smell that bread baking.

I haven't baked myself during COVID, but I've given away lots of baking book together with homemade jam.
A friend and a neighbour have now inspired me to bake my own bread. It's easier than I thought and somehow very satisfying.

I often wish I could capture smells, they can be just as evocative as sights! My SIL bakes bread (not as much any more) as does his mom, from sourdough starter. Is Tartine your book? I've eaten at the Tartine restaurant and had their bread in San Francisco.

No, Tartine Bread is not my baking book, but I gave it to two friends as a gift while covid.
I liked the recipes and the photos are simply fantastic, an important aspect for me when I give cookery books as gifts.
I chose this one for myself because I thought it was more suitable for a beginner.

the cover from tartine bread was more suitable for the colour challenge .

Love the title, which manages to be both bold and subtle at the same time. Masterful. I used to make my own bagels, including boiling the dough, and there's nothing like the process and the rewards, just as you say. Congrats on that Standing O!
