Follins Pond Spread 2

Documenting our annual April trip to Cape Cod using the new Flowers FotoBlendz Template Album pages. I used the templates pretty much as is, just removing a frame, tweaking the size of others, and adding a large photo down the centerline on a Fotoblendz Overlay. I added taupe paint to the sides of the spread over a solid background, using that paint color to color the flower brushes layered into the template pages. The challenge here, as it is with all of my family spreads, was unifying the disparities in color. Here I relied on orange accents in a rough triangle formation to help glide the eye over the various colors, and I spread out the red checked flannel/yellow slicker images over two pages.
I love the background - keep looking at it, so natural, a perfect backdrop for the photos. Nice job with the little bits of color! My BIL is visiting from Sandwich this weekend, so it's been fun talking about "beach" differences. I've only been to the Cape once, in college, so have no experience of it. Wish I could beam myself there to visit (flight too long for me).
I hear you about the flights. I'm aching to go on this polar bear expedition I read about, but it's in Manitoba and then a prop plane to Churchill, and I still have this thing about not flying since Covid.

Love the seamless blending of the two pages! Great paint hack and family photos! Chilly temps but the fire outside warms everything up!
