The Mill Pond--Spread 2

This spread continues the documentation of our recent Grandma-and-Me family getaway on a peninsula in the Berkshire Mountains, relying on the new FotoInspired Pack 3E. As with the first spread, I let the template's fotomasks dictate the photos and the crops to facilitate speed and simplicity. Once again I removed all of the template's mask textures because of known oversaturation issues with the printing service that I use. I felt glad that I had a good mix of photos in warm and cool tones so that it was possible to achieve color unity across the spread.

A wonderful homey spread! Yea, great use of 3E. I also find myself removing all the photo textures. In a couple cases, Overlay has helped but mostly they darken my photos. Love all the Elliott shots! looks like he's gonna be a big boy!

another great documentation of the trip with grandchild and his parents.
What I like so much about your albums is that the photos are so authentic and natural. The perfection of the imperfect.
Plus the perfectly used elements - amazing double page.

99th percentile in height already. E's dad is 6'3" and a former LAX player so we're thinking E might have inherited that build.

Your comments are always so perceptive, thank you! I was a gallery artist for quite some time, and then it was like a faucet turning off--I found I was far more interested in exploring through the practical rather than through the conceptual, not only the perfection in the imperfection (a great way to put it!) but the eternal in the ephemeral.

the eternal in the ephemeral, what a wonderfully philosophical approach.
This is probably exactly what unconsciously fascinates me about your pages.
Thank you for this inspiration.

wonderful page where time stops in everyday life with all these small photos opposite to the big picture of the frozen winter landscape
