Love this collab colorplay kit from Lynn and Rachel.

It has now been x2 years since I passed my driving test in the US and I have come so very far. But 10 months after I passed my test, I had to drive in NYC - something I said I would NEVER do. LOL. I did it because I felt that I owed it to my friend Lisette to drive her to the hospital for the birth of her first child. She has done so many things for me, without being asked to. And she didn't ask me to drive her, I wanted to do it for her. And so I did it. The practice run was a bit hairy - dark, raining, windy. But it was totally fine the next day and I am still super proud of myself for reminding myself that I can do the hard things.

I love your background story and your proud smile behind the wheel.
I've had my driver's license for a long time, but I rarely drove because I lived in the middle of the city with good public transportation.
Now I live remotely in the mountains and without a car it's almost impossible. I'm now practicing starting up a steep hill and reversing up and down because the roads are so steep and narrow that two cars can't get past each other .....
I hope I'll soon be smiling as proudly as you are.

Hi @nia Thank you for your lovely comment and for sharing your story. I learned to drive over 33 years ago in the UK, passed my test, but stopped using my car around 24 when I started to go out and public transport was awesome. I never really wanted to drive, so was happy not to. The move to Florida means I HAVE to drive, much like you and the hill. You will no doubt be smiling soon too. Good luck x

OMG! Wow - NYC?!! Incredible. (As for me, I have once again managed to structure my life so I don't need to drive LOL)
