Journaling reads: Chipping Sparrows forage in flocks, except during the breeding season. They usually forage on or near the ground in open areas near cover. When foraging, they run or hop, stopping often to scratch the ground for seed. It was hard to capture a good picture with all of the hopping they were doing. 1/31/24
