Project 2023 P40 - Another Typical Adventure

So, I've been asked a few times how many pages will be in my book. I had no idea when I started it would turn into such a big project. These are all my dad's slides, so I will continue until they are used, at least through 1969, when my youngest brother was born, and maybe a little past that. Curiously, Dad stopped taking pictures about then, (no wonder with five kids!), but I have some photos to cover that year. So, it will be over 50 pages, probably 56 or 58. I certainly do appreciate all the comments. It's been so much fun reading them. Thank you!

Page 16 of the template was placed on the left side of the double layout. Photos were clipped to the fotoblendz and frame masks. Some frames were removed. APP Able Solid Paper 1 was placed for the foundation. Stains and papers of the template were recolored. Embellished with elements, overlay, paper texture, custom word art, splatters and stains. Finished with journaling.

A trip to see the new Keystone Dam. This looks like Dad sitting on the edge, maybe. You can barely tell it’s us at the top of the lookout. Stuart and Scott doing some kind of shenanigans, or dancing, or just trying to outdo each other in one of their never-ending competitions.

It's a great idea to capture your own family history in this wonderful form for future generations. This will make it an interesting and informative picture book for children and grandchildren that they will enjoy looking at and reading carefully. Great use of the template!

What a fantastic project! I love seeing your pages in the gallery - they are all so similarly themed yet very different... And every single one is beautiful!

My father would take me to see the bridges that he worked on. Got to see lots of rebar and concrete. Must have made an impression, cause I still remember the views and places. My husband and I check out the dams when we come across them and the locks on the Erie canal river system. Great page.
