Sunsets were at 6ish last week, and this week they'll be at 5ish. Sunsets are marking the passage of time. These photos are from my balcony, no enhancements to color. With the sea so calm from the Santa Ana's forming strong horizontal lines, I wanted contrasting vertical lines. Used the Free Action Nested by Panos fx.
Then for organic contrast, I used lots of Transfers from Classic ArtPlay Gather in Peace, plus my favorite Palm Tree brushes.
The Clock Artsy Card on the left is a free image from rawpixel, in Subtract mode.
The leaves element has a photo clipped to it in Overlay mode. The clock element has the hands corrected (this was a bit tricky and tedious, but necessary).
Amazing sunset! Love the vertical lines, textures and time pieces, and of course, the palm trees. Hate that it gets dark so early. Looking forward to December 22, when the days start getting longer again!

Since no one likes the early dark, makes one wonder why we do it! It bugs me that in order to get the sun on the ocean horizon, I can't include the tops of the palm trees. Maybe I should try going up to the roof
