Hot Times

A spread about more renovations to our new/old (1876) farmhouse. Moving the pellet stove wasn't as big a deal as we had expected (with an old house, there are usually curve balls). Jake managed almost the whole thing himself with supervision from Emma and Elliott.

I use FotoInspired templates a lot in my albums because things go together fast, but if there's a time-eater, it's usually involving the background. Lately my solution has been to start with a solid background paper (in this case a white paper), then top it with a couple of Artsy Transfers. It's easy and always seems to get me out of a pickle. For this layout I chose the Uncanny Artsy Transfers because of their smoke-like vibe, which seemed to go nicely with documentation about a pellet stove. I also used some of the solid papers and elements from the Artplay Palette as well as various odds and ends of other aA supplies.

Glad to know someone's making progress on a house. We've been stymied for a while doing other things. Great photos and documentation.

Definitely feels good to get projects accomplished. I like doing these layouts even though they're really plain--it's so easy to forget all the work that went into something and I like preserving memories of that for future oohing and ahhing!
