This was my Grandma's sewing room. She didn't actually look like that, and yet it is her. She was a seamstress. When she retired, she made teddy bears. She sewed thousands of them. She made them for friends, and newborns, and children that were sick. In her seamstress days she had a modern sewing machine, but when she made bears she used an old treadle. She said it was the only machine strong enough to go through the fur.
She was always happy. She loved plants. She loved books. She loved animals. Most of the pictures I have of her she’s with a cat or dog... I even have a picture of her with a rooster!
