Summers End

Summer's End means the end of car shows for a while. This is a 1933 Chrysler owned by a member of our local car club. He owns at least a dozen of these ’33 Chryslers (coupes, sedans, convertibles, and some duplicates), plus a few other different makes/models. I particularly liked the color of this one.

Summer’s End Solid Paper 4 was placed with Solid Paper 2 above it (blend mode Color Burn) for the foundation. MultiLayered FotoBlendz 7-1 was placed and grouped with my photo clipped to the group. An Anna blending brush was used to get more coverage on the hood ornament. Artsy Transfers 3 and 5 were placed below the photo/fotoblendz, some layers turned off and others moved, along with Overlays from the palette. Embellished with elements, word art, urban threadz flowers, loop da loop star, Take Flight brush and paper texture. Finished with Brushed Edge Overlay placed above the foundation papers, blend mode Color Burn, lowered opacity, and a Gradient Adj. level, blend mode Soft Light, lowered opacity, placed at the top of the layers panel.

What a beautiful page and what a fantastic car that is! It is such beautiful shape! I love the way you blended you photo with your background and I love the little doodles that stretch across your page! I also loved reading about the car shows!

Great work blending that old car! I love to look at those cars and the fancy chrome grilles and hood ornaments.

Between you and Kathy and even Miki, you're going to make me into a car fan! This is simply beautiful! The strokes and colors and pinks, expertly placed! I can't imagine owning a dozen of these - they must be worth a fortune! And old cars always make me think of my dad - he loved cars!

I am already a fan of vintage and antique cars. Looking at them takes you to a place of imagination and how fun it must have been to ride in one. It is such a classic look. Great layout.
