Oscraps

New Moon
For my page, I started with a foundation page of the rocks and blue sky. I layered the Van Gogh paper under it and used a layer mask to reveal some of the Van Gogh swirls. I used the moon from Celestial Worlds and used an adjustment layer to darken the moon as I am in the New Moon phase. I placed the "the start of..." word art and turned it black and white to match the colors of my page. I then took the figure from Celestial Worlds and used layer --> Layer Style --> Blending Options --> and slid the underlying layer slider by clicking command click and moved the white marker to the left to create a blend. I did the same thing for my text so it wasn't floating on the page. I then placed the clock and the bubbles and blended them into the background using the same technique. I placed the paint swoosh behind the moon and then placed the word art and white glow dots from MoonGlow, and hit save! Voilå!
This turned out amazing! As a huge fan of Starry, Starry Night by Van Gogh I love the use of that paper at the top.

Love your sample page, Susie! Love how you did your blending in the background!

wow... just saw this in the Standing O thread... love the scene you created here! Congrats on the Standing O - totally well deserved!
