Manhattan Hat

The annual Knit Family Beanie is a Christmas tradition, and I get started in January figuring out the design, materials, colors, and sizes. This page documents the recent test-fittings of the prototypes--I'm a little behind this year since the new grand has taken up a lot of time. Since the page is about knitting, I also threw in an extraction of a recent photo of Elliott wearing one of the many sweaters I've knit for him. Completed last winter from the scraps of the 2022 Family Beanies, Elliott is just growing into this sweater now.

This is another page using the new FotoInspired Template pack--can't get enough of 'em!
Not sure what I love more—your holiday tradition or that adorable model. Memory keeping at its best.

Elliott is so delightful in your beanie. The sweater is an adorable accomplishment from the leftovers. What a wonderful tradition

You have the most wonderful knitting traditions! Loving your page recording this. Socks used to be my Christmas thing and I fiddled about with a pattern to include the kids and knit wooly socks for the Grands thinking they would be perfect to keep toes warm while wearing wellies - guess what? They wouldn't wear them!

Totally agree with the others .. what fun for you and priceless treasures for them. What a sweetheart.

Knitting socks terrifies me. The wearability factor is also a deterrent. I've had good luck with the hats with the grands so far, but I'm thinking of trying mittens next year. The 5-year-old wants to learn to knit so I may have help soon ;)

Love the photo of Elliot and the knitted beanie! You are one talented grandma! I'm loving these templates.

Almost missed this - caught it in the Oscraps news! Love Elliott popping out of the pile of knitting at the top, and he couldn't be cuter in his cap! Great selection of photos for the story, and I love your red shirt giving the pop of color!
