Graduation - 3 LOs story
Newspaper article:
"These graduates all share something special in common. They are all graduating with someone related to them.
If a person were to assume that it was just a coincidence that three people with the same last name of Watson this year, he would be wrong. In truth, Patricia Watson, James Watson and Lois Watson are all part of the same happy family at Miramar College.
Patricia Watson, the mother of Lis and James, started the trend of going to Miramar College in the spring semester of 1981 to get her Business Associates. In 1983, when she received her degree, her daughter Lois joined her at Miramar. Finally in 1984, her son James decided he wanted to go to Miramar also.
Patricia claims that she and her children are still good friends in spite of their closeness at Miramar College. She says that there was no competition in the family, only encouragement. This kind of encouragement produced two Alpha Gamma Sigma members (Patricia and James) and awarded Patricia with a Data Processing Associate degree, James with a Business Associate's degree, and Lois with a Travel and Tourism Associates degree.
When asked why father Watson wasn’t graduating also, Patricia replied, “Someone has to support us through college!”
