O17 Challenge Day 1: The Avocet Island

I love making these beautiful mess kinds of pages, full of life :) I went back to my home in Portland for a few days and really enjoyed the color and beauty (although I missed my little guy).

I combined MultiFoto and FotoInspired to get lots of photos in.
Nothing fancy, just resize the template pages (the June Page 13 from MultiFoto 7 and FotoInspired 3B Page 4), clip the photos to the frames/masks. I also clipped a DeMode transfer to the calendar for more color.
DeMode papers and transfers in the background.
Just added a few embellishments to create some flow around the more static photos.
Urban Threadz were colored pink, then a Glow and Bevel added. Heart String element recolored.

Thank you, it is a beautiful mature garden around this old house (it's 110 years old), but unfortunately we don't get to see it as much as we are spending the summer (and more) at our beach apartment. But, all good, here I get beach and sunsets :)

So where's Cher in all of this? It's like you have a foot in two worlds, so dog-grounding is essential! BTW just coming off a dog/cat-sitting spell while my daughter and her family were away...and spied your luscious quilt in Ellie's room being used--not just admired, but being used--as E's primary tummy time playmat. Why not hung on the wall, I asked. Well, the household philosophy is that beauty and craft that are relished in everyday living hardwire an appreciation of and sensitivity to beauty and craft in everyday future life. Love that hands-on thinking and just wanted to share it with you.

Well that just made my day! What a beautiful thought!! We have a Cher-sitting stint coming up, and I'm looking forward to it! Foot-in-two-worlds is quite accurate, and comes with a lot of mixed emotions ;-)

I bet. Calling on a whole lot of different muscles to straddle the two worlds. Not without some muscle fatigue, I imagine. Onward!
