For the AnnaColor Challenge
I had the perfect photo, then worked for a couple of days to get a composition I liked ;-)
Blended the rose-on-the-beach photo with FotoBlendz Overlays (+ brushes) then added a copy of the photo in Linear Dodge, reverse masked, and brushed in the rose only (to brighten it).
Background was created with *Coming Soon* ArtPlay Handmade, plus Transfers from ArtPlay Ocean Cove, Sea Life and Beach.
Suggested ArtPlay Palette Ablaze provided the perfectly-colored stem to "branch" to the next page, where I added another photo (tumbled beach seaweed), again using FotoBlendz Overlays, with a second copy of the photo in Linear Dodge.
Sea Sprinklez, Strings, Buttons and Splatters form visual triangles.
I wanted to include the Color Challenge swatch somewhere, so added it to a frame, just for fun.
The last thing I added, besides journaling, was a visual triangle of titles/words, using gradients on them.
Oh the upper right, where I extended the photo, that's a transfer from ArtPlay SeaLife.

on this picture you can look and look and you find more and more details. What a job.
amazing take on the color challenge.

I love seascapes and the addition of the rose is a great touch.
The rose was there on the beach! I should include my journaling, as I know it's too small to read :
"I find flowers on the beach more often than one would expect. Where do they come from? A boat, tossed from the shore, a memorial? Being natural, I leave them where they lie, unlike the plastics I pick up and discard daily, keeping my beach clean."

Thank you! It too me a long time to place all the details - thanks for noticing!

Even better is finding the flowers on the beach creating great scrapbooking material!

Beautiful take on the challenge. Love your assortment of elements, especially the ribbons (?) in the color palette.

I took the swatch from the color challenge page, extracted the white, turned it and distorted it into something - does look like ribbons! :)
