We still go to the refuge to see what is right with our world. To be in a place where visitors are always welcome. I’m not so worried about Mother Earth because I think when she’s had enough of us she’ll just shake us all off the planet.
We'll remember the ice and frost on our last April day at MVNWR. It was so much nicer and calmer without the fierce winds, and fog was rising from the waterways. I took photos of ice crystals on grasses. The blackbird was singing his heart out, and it was the sunniest day we had.
