Inspiration – When I saw the tall vertical frames of the Artsy Layered template, I decided to check my catalog for portrait rather than landscape photos. I found a sailboat and decided to find more sail boats and the page began to take shape.
Start- File>New 12x12 300
Frames – I took the frames from the Artsy Layered template and moved them onto the page. I replaced the one on the right with Corner Slit Frame 1.1.
Paper – Placed Solid Paper 1 above the background layer.
Photo – My focal photo was attached to the mask layer using Layer, Create Clipping Mask. Two other photos were added to the frames. I duplicated one photo to but in a frame behind but enlarged it so that it didn’t look like the same photo.
Transfers – Artsy Transfer 2 was added to the page to join the frames on each side of the page, then transfers 4 and 5 where placed on the page to help create a diagonal look which was in opposition to the strong vertical lines of the sailboats and their frames.
Elements – Multimedia Flowers 8.2 I put between the photos. I chose the flower with the long stem to go along with the sailboat masks.
Title Cluster – I created This using the Heart transfer with a reduced opacity, a word transfer, s urban threat from one of the Multimedia Flowers, and a piece of wordart.
Journal - When the snow melts in Maine we look to the water. The boats are taken out of storage and crowd the docks whether in the bays or on the lakes.
