Inspiration-Since there is a big snowstorm coming tonight, I decided to look at my “winter” photos (I have a keyword for it in my Lightroom catalog. I saw this picture and thought it would work with travel though I know Sojourn has more to do with staying.
Paper – Solid Paper r was placed above the background layer as it matched well with the naked trees in the picture.
Mask/Frame – Placed Framed Mask 2.2 above the paper.
Photo – I attached my photo to the mask layer using Layer>Create Clipping Mask.
Element – With the single picture I have created a simple styled page which I love but to give it a little complexity I have created a title cluster. The elements are the charm, ribbon, and foliage. I have entwined these together and the charm is entwined with the frame.
Transfer - I placed the word transfer at the bottom of the frame, transfer 4 on the right edge of the frame I consider it part of the cluster, and Artstroke 1 on the bottom of the page but it extends up to connect to the cluster and goes horizontal under some of the frame and cluster tying the right and left edges of the page to the focal point though I reduced the opacity to 40%.
Brushes – Architectures 4.6 in white behind transfer 4 at 50% opacity.
Title – Beads Go and word strip Roam.
Journal –

Words – A word transfer with blend mode Divide was placed beside the photo but under the frame.
Clean up – make sure drop shadows are present when supposed to be and matching all the others. Fix any exposed straight edges of my photo(s). Colors work. In my review I decided I wanted something that linked the focal to the top edge and added a splatter from Gentle Morning in white.
