this was a shot of me & alyssa the day after she came home for a 3-day hospital stay due to the roto virus. she somehow learned the art of showing affection during that stay.
OURNALING: Ive always thought that nothing could feel more natural and more satisfying to a mother than the act of comforting her children when they are hurt or sad. But I was in no way prepared for the serenity that is washed over me when you show me affection. Its absolutely blissful. (the "writing" on the frame reads: mom & alyssa the day after she came home from the hospital.)
