Cast iron, or metal, disentanglement puzzles have been dated as far back as the late 1800s and vary as to their degrees of complexity. Nowadays toy companies manufacture these puzzles for a newer generation of puzzle enthusiasts and many of their current designs are based on the original cast iron puzzles of days gone by. One such company is HANAYAMA which manufactures a multitude of these brain teasing attention nabbers. The puzzle shown here is the ENIGMA puzzle and its classified as a Level 6 puzzle which is the most difficult level of cast puzzles Hanayama makes. Trey recently solved this puzzle in under an hour and, as a result, will most probably have house bragging rights for quite some time!
