Vida Ruth - Fallen Blush

My paternal Grandmother, we called her Mamaw. Personal family photo, circa 1940's as far as I can guess. She was quite dignified and had perfect posture. Her 'easy' chair had a board under the cushion behind her back. And she was forever telling us, "Stand up straight, don't slouch." Her maiden name was Brooks, and supposedly we are related to Garth, but I'm not so sure. But if you put a cowboy hat on my youngest brother, they could almost pass for twins.

Because of the brown background in the photo, I auditioned several papers and several masks or fotoblendz before I settled on Fallen Blush Artsy Paper 1 with DeNovo FotoBlendz 4. I clipped the photo to the fotoblendz layer filled with a brown color. I also filled the remainder of the fotoblendz layers with coordinating colors with Blend Mode Linear Burn. I placed Fallen Blush Transfer2 below the fotoblendz layers, with Blend Mode Soft Light and Artsy Transfer 1 (tape) on Color Burn Blend Mode. Embellished with MultiMedia Leaves 5-2, Fallen Blush elements (Branch, Button), Urban Threadz 12-13, ArtPlay Love Letters Heart button, word ART transfer, Line Word, Fallen Blush brushes, and MultiMedia magic Sprinklez 3-2 (pearls, crystals, white splatter).

Always nice to have some good family lore (true or not).
Gorgeous page. Love the photo and the wonderful lace of her collar.
Those delicate little pearls are a wonderful finishing touch.

Beautiful lady! Love the story and how the texture frames the photo!
