While meandering through Armstrong Park in New Orleans, we saw a bunch of highly decorated children walking to some destination. We followed them, watched them adjust their makeup and costumes and ended up in Congo Square, where they entertained us with a fantastic concert. Congo square was considered "sacred ground" by Indians who settled there before the French colonized the area.
