This is the view from the top of the wall near Pile Gate looking down towards Dubrovnik outside of the walls. After the civil war in the early 1990s the city was restored to its former glory and today all the new building work and restoration are controlled from the signature orange tiled roofs to the shade of green used on the shutters along the main street.
