Journaling reads: I had always loved having parakeets as pets. It wasn’t possible for a long time, though, for various reasons. However, things all came together right after Christmas when just over 800 birds from a hoarding situation were surrendered to the local animal shelter . I was finally in a position to adopt two of the birds, and the girls came home with me on January 23, 2022. They are such a joy to have in my home.
