I think after a hard life she probably wasn't in the mood to smile ... or maybe before extensive access to dentistry teeth in those days were kept hidden

Ah! This is Esther, my GGG Grandmother featured in my page, Margaret was my Granny, both married to miners though so I'm sure toughness was in the job description!
