This page is about my new obsession--knitting gnomes. The interesting thing (to me anyway) is that way back when we made our first trip to Iceland, I lugged home a ton of Icelandic wool...and I had no idea at that time how to knit or crochet. So the yarn sat in a closet for a long time. A few years ago I took an adult ed knitting class and started to knit, but still never touched the Icelandic wool. And then, last week, I stumbled across a pattern for a gnome online...and all of a sudden I was off and running. Since the “hidden people” play a key role in Icelandic life, I'm glad I have my Icelandic wool to knit with.
Process: I used all parts of the Inkling Classic Release for this layout except the template, giving the gnome some Threadz to stand on as well as a few brushes colored blue. I used orange brushes to complement the little dog gnome, and two of the multimedia elements included in the release as well as bits and pieces of others.
