Process
An artsy paper from APP Fare was used as the foundation of the page. The photo was clipped tothe large paint layer of Artsy Transfers Fare, duplicated with the blending mode changed to screen. Using a soft white brush areas around the faces were painted in. The bowl of soup was extracted. The spoon from the Recipe Sampler pack was layered over the bowl. The bottom portion of the spoon was erased. The page was completed by adding word art, snow sprays, splatters and dimensional embellishments.
The soup looks good but it's the way you show the photo of your peeps and the snow elements that I love the most. And now I have to figure out a scheme to work a lasagna into my low-carb life in the next few weeks. (We make an eggplant parmesan with no pasta but it isn't the same at all.)
This is so awesome--and was exactly what we did for Christmas (with my son and his family Covid-quarantined in NJ, we did the outdoor thing upstate with the others). No soup, but I did knit heavy blankets for every family! Someday we will look back on this and marvel at our resilience. Glad you documented. Beautiful work as always.
Looks VERY tasty and the perfect antidote to a cold wintery birthday walk! Last Christmas this how we met with family on Christmas morning but this year we were fortunate to be able to all be together although going to miss our youngest granddaughters birthday AGAIN because of Omicron! Love the warmth of the soup colours against the dark background!
