Broccoli is part of the cauliflower family, of which it is actually an ancestor.
It has been known in Italy since ancient times, but it was not implanted in Europe until the eighteenth century.
Its consumption has been growing since the 1980s. It is also since this period that Brittany has become
the first production region in France.
Not a big fan of broccoli (although the history of broccoli is interesting), love your page, tractors and the red flower! We have large cabbage fields here.
