Inspiration – the northeaster that hit our coast this week and the pictures I managed to grab. I wanted to play again and had some happy accidents.
Start – New File – File>New 12x12x300
Paper – I placed Solid Paper 2 above the background layer
Photos – I experimented with one photo keeping it at its original size and stretching a tiny bit to cover the file. I placed it under the paper (after experimenting with it on top). I set the Blend Mode Overlay
Frames – I added the frames from Artsy Layered Template 278 to the page. I didn’t notice that they went under the paper. (frames were below the paper)
More photos – I attached two photos to the mask layers of the frames using Layer>Create Masking Layer> I set the mask layer Blend mode to Vivid Light on the wave photo. The photo of the surfers I set to Darken Blend Mode and then I erased the frame so to get the out of frame look.
Brush- I placed Brush 8 in the sky area (again below the paper) and set to Overlay.
Elements – I put next to the frames and used Ctrl U to change the color to blue. Then typed Surfs Up on the tag. I placed the multimedia leaf 3.1 between the photos. I used Control U on the Warm Glow and the leaf to make them blue. The idea of blue is because the photos are monotone.
Words – I used the wood words best life for the title once again using Ctrl U to make them blue and adding a drop shadow. The wood words are the only thing above the paper.
