Before sunrise we were on the little walk by some ponds. It felt so good to be out on the refuge again and nobody else there. Lots of flowers and we needed mosquito repellent. Not as many birds as in June, and reeds were much taller. Our best surprises were four elk dudes and three baby avocets.
Love the design and the way the photos are displayed. Bet the elk were a surprise! I was once charged by a bull elk when trying to capture a photo. It scared me!
