Bluff Overlook

We allowed extra time Wednesday to get to Bluff Overlook by sunrise. Views were scenic, but we only saw one duck a thousand feet below us on the river. Instead of risking a hike where we might not see wildlife, we drove back to the main Alamosa NWR and retraced the auto tour.

Beautiful god rays. Love the postage stamps and the OOB elk! Also like the inclusion of the map and compass! We're thinking of a road trip this fall, getting anxious to get back out west.

It is on my bucket list to go to one of NM NWR to see the sandhill cranes and all the snow geese and all the other ducks - I am really liking the way you are doing the framing on your pages - love the addition of the map! cool how you used the stamps

Thanks. Yay for your road trip. We'll get to the Bosque Nov-Dec. but last time only saw cranes, not snow geese. Might be a couple of trips, but hey it's all good. ;)

Thanks for sharing all these road trips. Learn so much about your country this way. I wish I could do them myself.

Some beautiful country and photos! I always love the use of postage stamps for frames, something so appealing about stamps!

That's a really nice duck! Always like the stamp frames on travel pages. They just "work." Nice use of the compass, as well.
