We allowed extra time Wednesday to get to Bluff Overlook by sunrise. Views were scenic, but we only saw one duck a thousand feet below us on the river. Instead of risking a hike where we might not see wildlife, we drove back to the main Alamosa NWR and retraced the auto tour.
Beautiful god rays. Love the postage stamps and the OOB elk! Also like the inclusion of the map and compass! We're thinking of a road trip this fall, getting anxious to get back out west.

Thanks. Yay for your road trip. We'll get to the Bosque Nov-Dec. but last time only saw cranes, not snow geese. Might be a couple of trips, but hey it's all good.
