When I try to remember my earliest Christmas memory, my first thought is, "Good Heavens, I'm old!"

Then I begin to have flashes of memories and the feelings associated with them. Honestly, what stands out for me is the anticipation and all the magic in the building up to Christmas --- the hopes, the love, the warm feelings of home, of family coming together, the festive decorations, the magic of twinkling lights, the joyous carols, wrapping presents, the traditions - old and new - the nostalgia of each and every tree... My first memories - the magic & anticipation - are still my favorite things.
