ho ho holidays

For the O'Scraps art doll challenge :)

My off sense of humor. I am sure the holidays will be wonderful for many.

Trivia: A Christmas Carol was first published in 1843.

and a lot of little things to make up the garland at the bottom - if you see something and want to know where it came from, message me and I will send you the info

The text blended into the book are actual pages from the original story.

Process...
This is just a bunch of layers stacked on top of each other. I started with a solid background. Eventually, I added the illustrations and highlighted them with warm glows. I extracted Ebenezer and gave him a stick for a cane. Built up the garland and added the snowman and other little embellishments, like the coins. Placed the book behind Ebenezer and blended two pages from the book on layers above it. Added the title by changing hope to "ho" and added the date on the chalkboard. Added a little journaling and called it done.

Thanks for looking :)
this is fantastic and so 3D with the book of Dicken's Christmas Carol behind Scrooge. love the dark coloring of the background to go with Scrooge and that large title... you should print this on canvas.. fabulous christmas page! thanks for showing!

[by the way.. that is a gorgeous garland you created.. I keep looking and seeing more!]

He is wonderfully done and so Christmas-y with the book pages and the holiday decor. Love your wordArt too.

Yep, your amazing holiday art totally reps 2020, I'm digging the dark background and the "scroogey" vibe.
