On Thursday the sky was red-orange and it was almost dark indoors mid-afternoon, so we turned on our lights. As fire threatened Estes Park , it had to be evacuated via US 34. Wildlife also fleeing used the road and slowed the bumper-to-bumper down to a crawl. RMNP was on fire again.
Aside from a war zone this was the scariest dark and depressing day ever for those who live here.
