Don't the hours grow shorter as the days go by
You never get to stop and open your eyes
One day you're waiting for the sky to fall
The next you're dazzled by the beauty of it all
When you're lovers in a dangerous time
The USFS closed 261 roads in our area and a few days later all of the forests in the state. The weather continued to be dry and red flag windy. The flurries that looked like snow were ashes from the fire miles away. At the same time, the coronavirus was getting more scary, even in Colorado.
I wanted use the challenge colors for a page that wasn't about our fire. The photo of red leaves was beautiful but I found it wouldn't come together because I couldn't connect with the beautiful fall colors at all. I added the bulldozer and it finally reflected life as it is for us right now.
