This layout is about one of my daughters (at the very bottom of the image). She was photographed by her partner, my future SIL (July wedding cancelled because of Covid), on an outing after deciding to downsize their very successful business. It's for the photobook that I'm keeping for them about "the wedding that wasn't," about life in the time of the pandemic.

I built the page by blending the photo of my daughter into the general contours of Artsy Transfer #5, using inverted masking. I used regular layer masks to fine-tune the edges of the photo to the shapes in the Transferit's kind of like guided blending, and really helpful when the photo is not so great, like this one, which I screen-snapped from an Instagram post. I added a second Artsy Transfer (#4), to the top right, because I wanted to fill that area with something interesting. The background is Artsy Paper #1 duplicated on color burn mode at reduced opacity then covered with Artsy Paper #2 on overlay mode and then covered by Artsy Paper #3 on color burn mode. (I love how Artsy Papers stack into an interesting parfait.) I finished with the leaf multimedia elements, moving the Fotoglos here and there.
