At the Center of it ALL

This abstract was inspired by an article I read from the University of Texas Austin about the spread of coronavirus. Researchers discovered that COVID cases were found in Seattle/Washington as early as the Christmas holidays. They had been misdiagnosed. I used the virus graphic from the article. It's under the big ink splat in the lower center. The article got me thinking that the virus is the center of our world today. Everything we do is govern by the pandemic. This is my representation of how COVID hit Austin. Flaming in spots and deadly in other areas. I hate to think what it will be like in the next month or so after UT starts classes. UT, at Austin, is a mecca for college partying. And our football team, the Longhorns, reported among the highest rate of infection in college football. In fact, the college stadium holds 100,000 and attendance will be limited to 50%. That's 50,000 college kids & super fans screaming their heads off. (I know I've attended several games.) We have a failure of leadership in Texas with Governor Abbott who in Texas talk is: greasy as fried lard. Big sigh, guess I'll be doing more coronavirus abstracts soon.

Used APP Prismatic and coordinating fotoblendz.

Thanks for looking.
I love how he expresses his emotions and thoughts in an abstract style. I admire and feel the works. We are living through difficult months. Stay safe, Christy!
Congratulations on the Standing O!

This is a riot of energy and color and expressive of something that is potent and powerful and unpredictable. Congrats on the Standing O! If I am recalling this correctly, your governor is the guy who basically said that people over 65 should be happy to die to save the economy. Ummmm....sorry, no. The next few months are going to bring some dark times, I suspect. This is a time when we all can see in real time that government DOES matter.

Congratulations on your brilliant work of art. Yes, the virus is definitely the center of all our lives. A sad time for those starting out on school and college quests and those who have the responsibility to keep them safe, and for us, the elders who do not dare stray far from home. These are very definitely the "Times that try men's souls".

The subject is so tough but I am in love with the page you have created. The color is so vibrant.

(And living in Florida, I totally understand the issue of failed leadership. Our governor is at the top of that list.)

I scrolled your gallery. And picked this one.
O my .. what a story!
I hope the situation has changed a bit by now?
