This abstract was inspired by an article I read from the University of Texas Austin about the spread of coronavirus. Researchers discovered that COVID cases were found in Seattle/Washington as early as the Christmas holidays. They had been misdiagnosed. I used the virus graphic from the article. It's under the big ink splat in the lower center. The article got me thinking that the virus is the center of our world today. Everything we do is govern by the pandemic. This is my representation of how COVID hit Austin. Flaming in spots and deadly in other areas. I hate to think what it will be like in the next month or so after UT starts classes. UT, at Austin, is a mecca for college partying. And our football team, the Longhorns, reported among the highest rate of infection in college football. In fact, the college stadium holds 100,000 and attendance will be limited to 50%. That's 50,000 college kids & super fans screaming their heads off. (I know I've attended several games.) We have a failure of leadership in Texas with Governor Abbott who in Texas talk is: greasy as fried lard. Big sigh, guess I'll be doing more coronavirus abstracts soon.
