Oh how funny! I still remember those 55 years later too, but not if you didn't remind me. I have no memory of the shoes though. It unified all of us in our disdain. Love how you made the color for the text different from the rest of the background.

Oh gosh... I remember them so well... we wore them until I was in the 9th grade... 1975 was the last time I had to wear that!!! Ours was maroon and I tell you that you had to be a contortionist to get in and out of it!!!! Oh goodness... so glad that I did not have to wear that in High School! thanks for the memories, and I loved your wonderful journaling drawing us all (who were "lucky" to wear them) back to the gym days!!! Love your page!

I think the gym suit looks lovely when we had to do gym it was a white tshirt and navy blue knickers.

OH! I had the identical one, without the belt. We were told we had to personalize them with embroidery--our names, flowers, hearts, etc. by our old bat of a gym teacher. Who probably wasn't as bad as I remember, but those gym suits! I never did embroider mine. Thanks for the memories!
