Fly fishing tenkara is a simple type of fishing practiced in Japan. Mainly used for trout fishing in mountain streams,
tenkara is one of the most popular angling methods among freshwater mountain fishers in Japan.
(according to historians. It was the difficulty of accessing the places where the fish was hiding that prompted the fishermen to clean up their equipment: a bamboo cane,
a horsehair yarn, a hook and a few feathers as flies.
Tenkara was born, requiring the fisherman a great knowledge of the fishy places and an agility to move stealthily so as not to alert the prey)

Gorgeous work with the frames and masks! I love how the artsy strokes visually tie everything together!

Wonderful - love the way you have used the strokes to capture the feel of the flying fish lines.

Love your use of the fishing lines to tie the photos together. Always thought fly fishing was a beautiful sport--the casting is so intriguing.

Love this! Great framing, perfect use of strokes that match the shape of the fishing pole, and I like the fish embellishments :)
