Process
Solid paper 1 from APP Hearth was used as the foundation of the page. Solid paper 2 was layered above paper 1 with the blending mode changed to overlay. This created a subtle texture to the pager. The photo was clipped to a fotoblendz mask, duplicated with the blending mode change to soft light for more detail. Artsy Transfers Hearth_5 was added to the left side of the page. Transfers layers from 4 and 2 were added. The birdhouse was created by beginning with the stitched home. The inside of the house was filled in on a separate layer. A snippet of text paper was clipped to solid shape and a transfer from APP Wilderness was clipped to the paper with the blending mode changed to color burn. A Straight Line 3 stitch was inverted to black and placed under the house. The page was completed by adding more Artsy Transfers from various kits (blending mode color burn), artstrokes, splatters, word art and dimensional embellishments.
this is a cool photo and story but these cowbirds nearly drove Kirkland warblers to extinction as the cowbird babies would eat and the baby warblers would starve - love the page though
That's quite an interesting story! And your use of so many products to create a lush and interesting composition is amazing! Love the birdhouse, the tickets (entry for the cowbird egg ?
