Austin has a festival every weekend. Seriously, we do. I mean there's even one celebrating spam and Eeyore. This past weekend, I went to a Chinese New Year celebration. It was a visual delight, and inspired me to do this art. Chinese woman/2020 graphic found on Pixabay.com.
Supplies:
ArtPlay Palette Epoch Bundle

ArtsyTransfers Epoch

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 1 as my base. I added my photo and masked it using a mask from the Epoch frames included in the bundle. I masked out parts of the photo and started adding transfers behind the photo, varying the opacity and blend modes. I added the year graphic I found and blended it into the background. Added flowers from the bundle as a headpiece and on her kimono. Final accent was brushing in some grey stains to add dimension. Because I thought the art was too smooth and to add more pop to the art, I used a High Pass filter found under other in the filter menu. I set slider radius to about 10 and changed the blending mode to Hard light with opacity of 65%. This really adds more depth.
Thanks for looking.
