Left Page Journaling: Loving the quiet after the holidays. January and February are good months to sort things out and set the tone for the year. A few paint touch ups in the house and bright beautiful days after a bit of snowfall.
One of my favorite things about my new town is the brilliant sunrises. They put a huge smile on my face with the promise of the coming day. I ran out the front door in my pjs and robe to capture this one. I didnt care what the neighbors thought.

Notes: After opening the January spread template from the pack and using solid paper 5 as the foundation, I clipped the photos to the various masks. I slipped the transfer underneath the large photo at the right. I recolored the stains and plume, taking shades from the large photo. The splatter brush was added over the photo.
Word art was brought in along with the dimensional elements, the flower and urban threads, labels and brushes from the kit. Finally the journaling was added.
These templates are a beautiful way to create a quick and easy page and certainly a wonderful way to highlight a month.
