Cat and Quail

Slung low to the ground and tail twitching furiously, only the sliding glass door separated Maxwell from the quail.

Notes: Starting with solid paper 5 and bringing in the photo, positioning and resizing, I used a reverse mask to bring back the parts I wanted. I blended to Color Burn to bring out Maxwells fur better. I duplicated the photo and blended to Multiply to bring out the quail a little better and using a AnnaBlendz brush, brushed the part of the original photo I didnt want affected by this blend mode away. Using a brush from the kit, stamped it at the top right of the photo to frame in the quail, blending to Linear Burn. Over this I used the warm glow and blended to Linear Burn.

Transfers and overlays were used on both edges of the page along with a word art transfer. I used the Blend Ifs on the word art.

The dimensional elements were added, berries and pine cone along with the title and brief journaling. That finished the page.
Wonderful design! A moment captured in time! Thank you for sharing the story!

Fun page. I know how my Two acts when there are birds at the feeder. There is a sound coming out of here that only happens when the birds are eating at the feeder. I recognize it even from the other room.

Beautiful! I love watching our cats crouch and act like they can't be seen. Lovely LO!!

Oh, that darn glass door...sorry, Maxwell! Quintessential cat photo and a gorgeous layout, Barbara!
