Inspiration: My recent trip to Assateague National Seashore in Maryland and my desire to put the pony images I captured into a scrappage.
Process: I started my page with Artsy Layered Template #168. I used Layer>Create Clipping Layer to attach two photos to the mask layer of the frames. I placed the black and white picture on the page over the Transfer layer area that looked like it would support a photo. I added a mask to the image and removed the straight edges of the picture with a brush and black paint. Above the background layer, I added Solid Paper 3.
Afterward, I went through the various layers using Edit>Fill to add color to them, sticking mainly to the same tone as the paper, but on some of the upper layers, I choose gold and green from the framed photos. I thought this rustic color set off my photos. I brought the ribbon onto my page, placing it above the black and white photo in the upper lefthand corner. It was below the frames, so I selected the ribbon and the selected first the frame layer and then the photo layer and erased the area of the ribbon so that part of the ribbon appeared above the framed image. I wanted the beaded thread word Love to look like it was laid on the photos but anchored by the ribbon. So I erased the thread where it went over the ribbon.
I used one of the Painted Leaves brushes to add some leaves to the page. And below all the layers on the right side, I placed my title. I hope you like the wild ponies of Assateague.
