Sunrise was at 7:40 a.m. so we left at 6 a.m. to be at the top of the mountain in Great Smoky Mountains National Park at sunrise. We timed it just right. We were surprised at how late the sun came up, and how many people were out at sunrise taking photos of the fall colors.
