On a recent antiquing trip I came across an old fashion school bell. It immediately brought back memories of the school bell my mother rang to call me in for meals. Of course, I had to buy it!
Process
Artsy paper 4 from APP Epiphany was used as the foundation of the page. The black and white photo was clipped to a fotoblendz mask. A new layer was created above the photo and the areas around the hair and shorts were colored in. The blending mode was changed to overlay with a reduced opacity (50%). The sky transfer was layered behind the image. The picket fence was recolored and the opacity was reduced. The bell was extracted and a custom shadow created. The page was completed by adding word art and dimensional embellishments.
